A Sommelier is a well trained professional who studies all intricate aspects of the wine making process to include the history of worldwide regions, the overall science and culture surrounding the wine industry and how to educate others on how to enjoy wine.
Kathryn joined San Sebastian Winery in January 2023 and quickly achieved a Level 3 Sommelier status through an intensive training program in which she learned all aspects of wines from around the world, to include the nuances of tasting and identifying the worldwide regions for reds, whites and sparkling wines. She takes pleasure in educating winery employees, visitors and wine enthusiasts on how to have fun while tasting and enjoying San Sebastian wine.
